Nature of Information:
Freelancing is a form of self-employment, where companies or individual will offer projects. Freelancer who takes that offer can work as a contractor and choose their own worktime. Many Freelancing jobs are available in Internet. Fraudsters using this concept to cheat people especially who submitted their resume in various job search portals.
Tactics of Cyber Criminals:
1) Scammers will send SMS, e-mail or create call to the job seekers stating that they are offering data entry jobs. Sometimes they will use attractive websites.
2) Initially, they collect small amounts as registration fees and ask for educational qualification certificate and ID proof of the worker. Also sends an agreement letter which must be signed by the job seeker and sent back to the company.
3) They will be provide some Handwritten notes or old books to type it in MS word file to the fraudster through mail.
4) Once the freelancer completed the work, he will send the file to the fraudster through mail.
5) The fraudster will send a report that the the MS-word file has so many mistakes and saying that he wasted their time. For that the freelancer has to pay some thousands as fine. If he refused to pay that money, they will send fake FIR or notice to the freelancer. To avoid legal consequences, the victim will send money.

Suggested Precautions:
1) Check background verification of the company while you arfe choosing a freelancing project.

2) Read the documents which you are signing.

3) You should not have to pay money to get a legitimate job. You don’t need to pay the fine..

4) If you are affected by this scam, report the same on https://cybercrime .gov.in/

5) To report financial frauds, call 155260

தகவலின் தன்மை:
Freelancing என்பது சுயதொழிலின் ஒரு வடிவமாகும், அங்கு நிறுவனங்கள் அல்லது தனிநபர்கள் திட்டங்களை வழங்குவார்கள். அந்த பணியை எடுக்கும் Freelancer ஒரு ஒப்பந்ததாரராக வேலை செய்து தங்கள் சொந்த வேலை நேரத்தை தேர்வு செய்யலாம். பல Freelancing வேலைகள் இணையத்தில் கிடைக்கின்றன. மோசடி செய்பவர்கள் இந்த கருத்தை பயன்படுத்தி குறிப்பாக பல்வேறு வேலை தேடல் இணையதளங்களில் தங்கள் விண்ணப்பத்தை சமர்ப்பித்த மக்களை ஏமாற்றுகிறார்கள்.
சைபர் குற்றவாளிகளின் தந்திரங்கள்:
1. மோசடி செய்பவர்கள் டேட்டா என்ட்ரி வேலைகளை வழங்குவதாகக் கூறி வேலை தேடுபவர்களுக்கு குறுஞ்செய்தி மின்னஞ்சல் அல்லது அழைப்பை அனுப்புவார்கள். சில நேரங்களில் அவர்கள் கவர்ச்சிகரமான வலைத்தளங்களைப் பயன்படுத்துவார்கள்.
2. ஆரம்பத்தில், அவர்கள் சிறிய தொகையை பதிவு கட்டணமாக வசூலித்து, கல்வி தகுதி சான்றிதழ் மற்றும் தொழிலாளியின் அடையாள சான்று கேட்கிறார்கள். வேலை தேடுபவர் கையெழுத்திட்டு நிறுவனத்திற்கு திருப்பி அனுப்ப வேண்டிய ஒப்பந்தக் கடிதத்தையும் அனுப்புகிறhர்கள்.
3. மின்னஞ்சல் மூலம் மோசடி செய்பவருக்கு எம்எஸ் சொல் கோப்பில் தட்டச்சு செய்ய அவர்களுக்கு சில கையால் எழுதப்பட்ட குறிப்புகள் அல்லது பழைய புத்தகங்கள் வழங்கப்படும்.
4. Freelancer வேலையை முடித்தவுடன், அவர் கோப்பை மோசடி செய்பவருக்கு அஞ்சல் மூலம் அனுப்புவார்.
5. மோசடி செய்பவர் எம்எஸ் சொல் கோப்பில் பல தவறுகள் இருப்பதாகவும்இ அவர் அவர்களின் நேரத்தை வீணடிப்பதாகவும் கூறி அறிக்கை அனுப்புவார். அதற்காக Freelancer சில ஆயிரங்களை அபராதமாக செலுத்த வேண்டும். அவர் அந்த பணத்தை கொடுக்க மறுத்தால், அவர்கள் Freelancer-க்கு போலி முதல் தகவல் அறிக்கை அல்லது நோட்டீஸ் அனுப்புவார்கள். சட்ட விளைவுகளைத் தவிர்க்க இ பாதிக்கப்பட்டவர் பணம் அனுப்புவார்.
பரிந்துரைக்கப்பட்ட முன்னெச்சரிக்கைகள்:
1. நீங்கள் ஒரு Freelancing திட்டத்தை தேர்ந்தெடுக்கும்போது நிறுவனத்தின் பின்னணி விபரத்தை சரிபார்க்கவும்.
2. நீங்கள் கையெழுத்திடும் ஆவணங்களைப் படிக்கவும்.
3. முறையான வேலையைப் பெற நீங்கள் பணம் செலுத்த வேண்டியதில்லை. நீங்கள் அபராதம் செலுத்த தேவையில்லை .
4. இது போன்ற மோசடியில் நீங்கள் பாதிக்கப்பட்டிருந்தால், https://cybercrime.gov.in/ என்ற வலைதளத்தில் புகார் அளிக்கவும்  அல்லது புகாரளிக்க 155260 ஐ அழைக்கவும்.
